Item Description
Product Description The Philadelphia Easy Chair with hand-carved solid Mahogany legs is a reproduction, circa 1750, from the Winterthur Museum. Like many of the finest Queen Anne-style chairs made in Philadelphia in the mid-18th century, this one features backward-raked stump rear legs, and arms made of two scrolls, one vertical and one horizontal, which meet to outline a flat C-shaped scroll. The arm must be hand carved by Kindel craftsmen to accurately reproduce this C scroll. A closely related chair was sold at Sothebys in 1986 for $1,175,000.
