Item Description
Product Description Fluted pilasters, dentils and hand carved shells enhance the architectural feeling of this Cherry block front chest. Chinese influence is suggested by the hand carved, ogee-bracket feet with fillet molding. The fillet molding also outlines the three drawer fronts. The original of this chest was made in Connecticut circa 1760 and is on display in the Essex Room of the Winterthur Museum.
