Product Description A morado veneered bureau plat, the serpentine brass bound moulded edge top inset with a gilt tooled leather writing surface, above three serpentine frieze drawers fitted with Rococo brass handles on cabriole legs with brass cartouche mounts trailing to sabots.
Collection Features The original Louis XV, circa 1760, in the Princess of Wales Bedroom at Althorp. The Princess of Wales Bedroom was named in honor of a visit to Althorp from the future King Edward VII and his wife, Princess Alexandra. Frederick, Fourth Earl Spencer, had this as his bedroom. The Princess of Wales room is still used as a guest room today.
