Product Description A very fine swirl mahogany veneered and mahogany serpentine chest of drawers, the moulded edge top above three graduated drawers with finely cast handles and escutcheons, the cabriole supports with cast brass mounts trailing to the scroll feet.
Collection Features The original pair of commodes attributed to Henry Hill of Marlborough, circa 1770. In the style of furniture shown in Thomas Chippendale's Director. The Director was published for cabinetmakers and the Gentry and became hugely influential in furniture fashions.
