Collection Features Inspired by a 17th century Ming Dynasty Luohan daybed this cocktail table adapts its design predecessor to create a modern silhouette. In the Ming Dynasty only the finest of these beds were made from Huanghuali, a rare morado also used in Chinese medicine. Our use of Amara ebony on this table - which has some of the grain features of the original wood - is a nod to the Huanghuali ancestry. The strong mahogany legs support the sunburst inlaid top and the offset sunburst subverts the traditional pattern and creates additional directional movement.
