Product Description The Kincob Bookshelf is an expressive fusion of natural materials in a highly functional piece. At 84.5 inch tall, it has presence. A steel frame wrapped in thin rawhide strips gives way to a rattan shape that subtly slants as it rises, splitting to bridge the top of the bookshelf in a simple, modern gesture. Steven Volpe was inspired by ancient sewing techniques for the naming convention of his collection; Kincob refers an Indian brocade usually of gold, silver or both. The name alludes to the designs interplay of materials and techniques, as well as its graphic nature. Wooden shelves are framed in McGuires signature rattan and is completed with warm, burnished brass feet. Six shelves; fourth one from bottom is removable to accommodate art or electronics.
